We were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel absolutely perfect. The renovation has been done so tastefully, the room had a great view, was quiet and clean, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast amazing...We also fell in love with …
This beautiful old building has been completely renovated by the present proprietor, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and offer fantastic value. The dinners are good, and since there is no alternative without driving into a nearby town, …
Our stay here was more than wonderful, everything was just done in a perfect way! Especially the location, the park and the furniture of the whole castle are super beautiful and an absolute reason to come here again!
Additionally to this, the service team is amazing, as we forgot something in the room and it was send to us without additional effort for us, which is surely nothing every hotel does!
My husband and I spent two nights here on our honeymoon. We really enjoyed this hidden gem! Breakfast on the castle terrace each morning was amazing. There isn't a whole lot to do nearby but the surrounding area is beautiful and it was nice to hike the local trails and see the calcium spring. Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend!
Wife and I stayed there for three nights in late September, 2016 and were pleased. Our room, atop the rear, with its balcony, was a serious climb over two staircases, but we two survived and were well pleased with our balcony.|We approached …
I think this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, when you factor in all aspects. It’s a beautifully well renovated castle, set in beautiful countryside, with very friendly staff.
The wellness Centre is also such a nice touch.
We stayed in the master suite and it was huge, the whole suite was really well renovated to a high standard, the mini bar was well stocked and really cheap. The breakfast room had lovely views and the food was very good quality (it’s a very typical German breakfast, so bear that in mind).
You do need a car as everything is a few minutes drive away. There’s lots to do in the surrounding area like hiking, skiing, visiting old historic towns etc.

This hotel was really cool! It was built in 1896, and has been well maintained. The breakfast spread was the best I have ever seen, and the employee serving breakfast was top notch. During the evening, a siren went off that sounded like an air raid alarm, but it turned out to be an alarm at the local fire department. It was somewhat unsettling, but I was glad to have that experience. As an American tourist, I've never known what it was like to live in fear of an airstrike, and being in former Communist occupied East Germany, I'm sure the older locals have had their share.
Thank you for the great experience!
This place is a just wonderful |The rooms a nice, the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is nice. However the small castle and the surroundings creates a perfect atmosphere. |The prices are more than reasonable.|This place is definitely worth a visit.|
